April 2000
Andy Powell, Mark Birch, Bob Skeat and Ray Weston undertake Wishbone Ash's 30th Anniversary European/UK tour. On April 22nd the band's official anniversary celebration is held at London's Shepherd's Bush Empire - although no attempts were made to stage the complete reunion of past band members which many fans had hoped for, the featured an extended "Bare Bones" acoustic section, as well as guest appearances from Laurie Wisefield and Claire Hamill.

Mark Birch is replaced by Finnish musician Ben Granfelt. Wishbone Ash undertake a lengthy European tour

January 2001
Helter Skelter in association with Firefly publish the book "Blowin Free - 30 Years Of Wishbone Ash", the most in-depth study of the history of Wishbone Ash to date.  Compiled by leading Wishbone Ash archivists Gary Carter and Mark Chatterton, this publication traces the band’s history from its roots in the West of England, through its 1970s commercial peak, right up to the band's 30th anniversary celebrations. Martin Turner, Andy Powell and Laurie Wisefield all contributed brand new interview material. Various othe band members and associates past and present also contribute and the book is packed with rare pictures, memorabilia, etc

September 2001
Recorded in Paris in 1999, the "Live Dates 3" CD  is  released through Eagle Rock.  As a companion to the CD album,  the long awaited DVD of the 30th Anniversary Wishbone Ash concert, filmed at Shepherd's Bush Empire, London in April 2000 followed, also released under the "Live Dates 3" banner.

October 2001
MCA/Universal (UK)  issue yet another Wishbone Ash anthology. "Blowin' Free - An Introduction to Wishbone Ash" is part of a series of albums MCA are releasing, each "Introduction" album focussing on one particular artist's back catalogue. As its title implies, the album is obviously designed to give newcomers a taste of the band's back catalogue, focussing on various facets of the band's style - not solely the standards. The album comes with liner notes from Andy Powell's long time friend Ian Harris ("Strange Affair" and "Twin Barrels Burning" cover artist).

January/February 2002
Wishbone Ash undertake an extensive tour of Germany.

March 2002
MCA/Universal releases the 30th anniversary CD edition of the "Agus" album, remixed in its entirety by Martin Turner as well as additional sleeve notes, etc.   In addition, the release contains bonus tracks from the "Live From Memphis" promo album.

April 2002
The new Wishbone Ash album "Bona Fide" - the first to feature the line-up of Andy Powell, Ray Weston, Bob Skeat and Ben Granfelt is released through Talking Elephant Records.  A UK tour coincides.

May 5th 2002
A unique event take place at Worcester Park Tavern in Surrey.  Celebrating the 30th anniversary of the release of the "Argus" album, the large number of Wishbone Ash fans in attendance witnessed a performance of the entire album by tribute band Ashbone-u-Wish, as well as the Blue Bishops, featuring Martin Turner.  The highlight for many was the arrival of Martin onstage with Ashbone-u-Wish to perform three Wishbone Ash songs.  Martin also held a Q&A session, hosted by event organiser Mark Chatterton.

Talking Elephant re-issues the three IRS-period reunion albums - "Strange Affair", "Here To Hear" and "Nouveau Calls" - complete with revised artwork and bonus tracks.  All three titles are remastered by Martin Turner. 

February/March 2003
Tour of US, followed by dates in France.

April 2003
UK Tour.  The concert at the Mean Fiddler in London is filmed for a future DVD release.

June-September 2003
Live dates in Europe and the USA.

August 2003
Classic Rock Productions release "Wishbone Ash: Almighty Blues" on DVD during October 2003.  This film captures the band on tour during 2002, including footage filmed in London, Liverpool and Lichtenvoorde, Holland.  The disc is packaged as a double disc set also featuring the original band's concert performance at Bristol Colston Hall in Sept. 1989.  "Almighty Blues" is also released on Super Audio CD.

September 2003
Talking Elephant Records release "Tracks 2", a collection of live tracks spanning the band's career.

October-December 2003 - UK Tour followed by dates in Brazil, France and Holland.  The UK tour marks the final appearances of Ben Granfelt with the band. Ben is replaced by another Finnish guitarist Muddy Manninen.

Extensve tours of Germany, the USA and the UK.

April 2004
Talking Elephant Records release "Lost Pearls", a collection of previously unreleased recordings from the "No Smoke Without Fire" and "Just Testing" sessions.  These never before heard songs were discovered amongst a collection of multi-track tapes stored by Andy Powell and were lovingly restored by Martin Turner, who oversaw the production and mixing of the long lost recordings.

June/July 2004
Shows in Holland, Spain and the USA.

October 2004
Classic Rock Productions release the DVDs "Phoenix Rising" and "Inside Wishbone Ash".  ""Phoenix Rising" features previously unreleased footage from the Mk.1 years as well as outtakes from the "Almighty Blues" filming in London 2003, while "Inside Wishbone Ash" is a critical review of the band's career.  A limited edition double disc set including both discs plus a colour booklet is also available.

Wishbone Ash tour the UK throughout October.

November/December 2004
North American tour.

January/February 2005
Tour of Germany, Belgium and Holland.

March 2005 US Tour. Release of the internet-only live CD of a Radio XM studio concert, one of the earliest performances of the Powell, Skeat, Weston, Manninen line-up, recorded in the USA during November 2004.

April 2005 UK Tour

Summer 2005 Martin Turner announces plans to tour during 2005/06, performing classic Wishbone Ash music with a new band line-up.

June/July 2005 Various appearances in the USA and Europe by Wishbone Ash (Andy Powell, Bob Skeat, Ray Weston and Muddy Manninen).

September 2005 Martin Turner announces the formation of Martin Turner’s Wishbone Ash, featuring guitarists Keith Buck and Ray Hatfield and drummer Rob Hewins. Meanwhile the Andy Powell fronted Wishbone Ash tour the UK throughout Sept/Oct.

November/December 2005 Martin Turner’s Wishbone Ash makes its live debut with two UK shows in Measham, Derbyshire and Sutton, Surrey. The performances saw the band playing a lengthy set that included songs rarely (and in some cases never) played onstage in the past, were met with a highly favourable response from fans, who warmly welcomed the founding original member of Wishbone Ash back to the live arena.

January-May 2006 Wishbone Ash (AP) tour Europe, the UK and the USA.

February 2006 Martin Turner’s Wishbone Ash tour “An Evening of Classic Wishbone Ash Music” throughout the UK. Original Wishbone Ash guitarist Ted Turner gives the project his seal of approval by joining the band onstage in Birmingham for several songs. Overwhelmingly favourable responses from both fans and music promoters results in further shows being booked for later in 2006. Live recording is undertaken throughout the tour, with a future live album project in mind.

March 2006 Wishbone Ash (AP) release “Clan Destiny”, their new studio album (the first to feature guitarist Muddy Manninen).

Spring-Summer 2006 Martin Turner mixes live recordings from the “An Evening of Classic Wishbone Ash Music” tour for a live album release from Martin Turner’s Wishbone Ash, schedule for release later in 2006.
