Martin Turner and Steve Upton - Pre-Wishbone Ash archived dates
The following list details all known live appearances by Martin Turner (and later Steve Upton) played as members of The Empty Vessels - the band that evolved into Wishbone Ash.
The Torinoes were formed by Martin and Glenn Turner in November 1963. In October 1965 the band changed its name to The Empty Vessels (occasionally billed as The MT Vessels). Steve Upton joined in July 1966, replacing drummer Adrian Smith, who in turn had replaced original drummer Phil Hesketh.
This listing details all dates that can be confimed through documentation in Martin's archives, which go back to May 1964. It is by no means complete. There were undoubtedly more undocumented shows and, at present, there appears to be little information available concerning shows played during the latter part of the band's lifespan - the period from April 1968, which would have included the band changing its name to Tanglewood and eventually relocating to London in May 1969.
